We are situated in a beautiful  area with many walks and trails to follow. Locally from the site you can walk to Porfell Wildlife Park and animal sanctuary with exotic animals from around the world.
You could head to Bodmin Moor for more challenging walks or enjoy the beautiful coastal  path leading  down into coves and beaches.

Polperro

Looe and Polperro take you back in time with their interesting streets wandering down to the harbour and beaches. Local crafts and art galleries are among the many interesting shops.

Gardens

There are many wonderful gardens to visit including the Eden Project with its many attractions a short drive away.
Lanhydrock is close by, a National Trust Victorian House and gardens beautifully set out as if the occupants had just stepped out.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a little further away at St Austell but another gem for garden lovers.

Carnglaze Caverns

Nearby Carnglaze Caverns have a woodland walk and tours underground in the caverns which are from an old slate mine. Concerts are sometimes held in the first chamber -'The rum store'

Outdoor Pursuits

The Polkerris Beach Company for sailing and windsurfing set in a secluded cove with a cafe and pub on the beach.
Horse riding at Polmartin Farm  lessons and trekking 
​in the beautiful Cornish countryside mostly off road with tracks accross the 60 acre farm.
The Monkey Sanctuary is just the other side of Looe and well worth a visit, set on the cliffs it is the atmospheric home to rescued monkeys with  views towards the sea from its gardens.
Looe Island is a nature reserve one mile off the coast and can be visited  by boat in the summer months from East Looe.

Food and Drink

The Jubilee Inn in Pelynt is our  nearest Pub and does good food at lunchtimes and evenings.

There are many great places to eat and drink in Looe.  Traditional little pubs with live music, Chinese and seafood restaurants.
 Ocean & Earth is a great Thai restaurant we can recommend
and of course there is always fish and chips.

There are many good |Cafes and Tea rooms in Polperro and Fowey.
The  Rashleigh Inn - 'the inn on the beach' at Polkerris also serves up good food with a great view.
​If you are travelling  to the North coast there is Rick Steins Seafood Restaurant and Rick Steins Cafe for freshly caught fish at Padstow.
